Toyota Wants to Know What You Think About A-BAT
By John O'Dell February 21, 2008
Remember Toyota's A-BAT concept, the hybrid crossover pickup introduced at the Detroit auto show?
Well, there apparently was enough interest that the big T's thinking about production.
The company has posted an item on its Open Road Blog
describing the short-bed, four-passenger A-BAT's features (although for some reason Toyota doesn't say what most everyone else does – 'Gee, looks a bit like the lovechild of a DeLorean and a Honda Ridgeline!') and asking for consumer input on whether the "Advanced-Breakthrough Aerodynamic Truck" should be built or not. We're certainly all for it if it helps clear the roads of a few of those big pickups and SUVs that rarely do more than haul groceries, dry cleaning and a kid or two to school each day.
