The company said last year it would do a battery-electric version of the popular small van, and offer it to fleet customers in the U.S late this year.

Ford has selected Azure Dynamics, a Detroit-based developer of EV systems for commercial trucks, to build the electric van using chassis supplied by Ford.
The unveiling - and with it details about the Transit Connect EV's electric drive and battery systems, and maybe some news abut when it will go on sale and what it might cost - is slated for 9:15 a.m. Central Time on Feb. 10, during the Chicago show's press preview.
