Saturn's Plug-In Hybrid Due Around 2009
By Michelle Krebs September 12, 2007Saturn will sell General Motorsâ first plug-in hybrid â- a Vue compact SUV that can run up to 10 miles solely
on electricity and switch to an engine for longer trips -â âvery quickly,â Brand General Manager Jill Lajdziak told the Detroit Free Press
in Frankfurt Wednesday.
âIn 2009-ish,â Lajdziak said of the plug-in's introduction. The Vue plug-in will become the third hybrid version of the SUV. It will combine lithium-ion batteries and GMâs two-mode hybrid system, which can be recharged from a 110-volt household current.

I would just like to point out that Saturn just had to re-purchase my Vue Greenline Hybrid under the Lemon Law. The last 10 months have been a non-stop nightmare with that vehicle. On top of the unbelievable treatment that I received from the dealership and the constant inconvenience that I was put through you would have thought that Saturn/GM would have had some compassion on me and made the process as easy on me as possible. I can assure you that was not the case. Yes, it was over relatively quickly but not because they sped up the process, because the specs on the vehicle was so far above and beyond the requirements under the Lemon Law that they didn't have a leg to stand on. They did try and continue to screw me out of every cent they could though. After putting in (at the time negotiations first began) over $4500 into that brand new vehicle their offer to me was $1400!!! Let me re-peat...$1400. We finally settled for what I told them I was not willing to take less than for the vehicle but not until they after they jacked me around for as long as I allowed them to get away with it, which as stated wasn't long. The lovely ms. Lajdziak pickture above was copied on my purchasing survey from the beginning and could not have care less what I had been put through. I can assure you that if I had not gotten myself an attorney it would not have ended the way that it did. This corporation, as many are nowadays, does not care about you - no matter what they ad campaign says.
Bottom line, don't buy this car. Even if it does run, they cheap out on all the small stuff. NOT WORTH IT - can't be stressed enough.
I forgot to mention...i purchased a Prius and couldn't be happier!

Shannon, lemons happen. Even in Toyota cars. Check out the gov sites on safety and you'll find Toyota buying back cars at the same rate as all the other makers. Your experience is very uncommon though. I've owned 5 GM vehicles in the past 10 years. All 5 have performed stellar, and I will buy another on my next one. My sister's Toyota was just shy of being bought back as a lemon. Sorry you had such a bad time, but you'd get more mileage by stating the dealer that made it bad for you. 99% of the time, it's the dealer's part that causes the headache, not the manufacturer. Toyota spent a TON of money training dealers to be nice, even when screwing the customer, so the customer walks away thinking they are better off, even if they really are not. Goes to show how easy it is to buy an American person's head... They've also been accused of posting bogus bad stories in forums like this to make themselves look better than they are. Hmmmmm.... Plus, the Japanese government has sued Toyota in the past for NOT completing recalls on safety issues with Toyota trucks.
