Cadillac To Sell CTS-V Overseas

Cadillac_ctsv_facing_right_240 In unveiling the Cadillac CTS-V at the recent Detroit auto show, General Motors announced it would -– for the first time ever -- sell the performance sedan outside of North America.

The 2009 Cadillac CTS-V will be sold in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

At the CTS-V's unveiling, Cadillac General Manager Jim Taylor called the 2009 CTS-V the ultimate expression of Cadillac performance and the world’s fastest sedan.

Beneath its aggressive bodywork, the CTS-V is driven by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 to generate an estimated 550 horsepower and 550 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic.
