GM Takes the Wraps Off the Camaro
By Michelle Krebs January 4, 2008Poor spy photographers. A car generating some of the biggest buzz â the
Chevrolet Camaro â is already uncovered.
General Motors Vice Chairman Bob Lutz ordered the camouflage removed from pre-production Camaros, supposedly so further evaluations can be done for aerodynamics and cooling efficiency, according to Chevrolet General Manager Ed Peper, writing on GMâs FastLane blog Thursday.
However, it appears thereâs a little marketing thrown in.
Peper said throughout 2008, pre-production Camaros will appear both on U.S. and Australian roads as GM continues testing and development. âSo keep those camera phones ready,â wrote Peper. âIf you happen to see one, we'd like to hear about it, so please post a comment and include your "spy photo!"

I want one like the yellow one in the "Transformers" movie. But it's gotta turn into a cool robot. too!
