Nissan-Renault's Ghosn: Fuel Costs Will Stay High
By Michelle Krebs January 25, 2008
DAVOS, Switzerland -- Donât expect low fuel prices to drop again anytime soon, Nissan-Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn told Dow Jones on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Friday.
âThe assumption is fuel prices will remain high," said Ghosn.
Ghosn is at the conference to tout Nissanâs commitment to bring out a mass-market, zero-missions electric vehicle by 2010. Consumers will be attracted to the car not just because it saves money on gas but because it is environmentally friendlier, too, said Ghosn.
