Toyota Denies Plans To Cut Output Further
By Michelle Krebs January 27, 2009Despite published reports in Japan to the contrary, Toyota is denying that it will cut worldwide vehicle production by at least 20 percent this year.
The Japanese newspaper Tokyo Shimbun reported Monday that Toyota planned to produce about 6.5 million vehicles this year, down from the 8.21 million it assembled in 2008.
