Detroit Show: Environmental Message Front and Center

This year was not one of the Detroit auto show's classic "horsepower and headers," over-the-top extravaganzas.

AutoObserver senior editor Bill Visnic points out that the 2010 Detroit auto show is rather unlike most Detroit shows past: while many manufacturers had horsepower on display, it was small and environmentally oriented vehicles that - almost by necessity - basked in the spotlights at Detroit's hometown show.
